Firex Foam is used for fire suppression. its role is to cool the fire and to coat the fuel. Preventing its contact with oxygen, resulting in suppression of the combustion.
The Aqueous Film Forming Foam concentrate consisting of fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon surfactant blended with various solvents, preservatives, and stabilizers. This foam forms an aqueous film that quickly cuts off the oxygen supply and thus stopping the fire from burning.
The foam also forms a stable blanket that suppresses the release of flammable vapors.It cools down the fuel surface extinguishing the fire and preventing re-ignition.
