Specialist extinguisher for class F fires.Wet chemical extinguishers are designed for use on Class F fires involving cooking oils and fats, such as lard, olive oil, sunflower oil, maize oil and butter. It is extremely effective as the wet chemical rapidly knocks the flames out, cools the burning oil and chemically reacts to form a soap-like solution, sealing the surface and preventing re-ignition. These are specialized extinguishers used for dealing with class F fires which involve fats and cooking oils such as maize oil, sunflower oil and olive oil. Once applied, their wet chemical quickly puts out the flame, cools down the burning oil and chemically creates a solution like soap to successfully seal the surface and prevent the fire from re-ignition.
