Performance of Novec 1230
According to Test Protocol UL2166 the A class fire extinguishing concentration of Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12) is equal to 3.5%. It is only alternative of Halon 1301, which have same concentration. Thanks to this feature Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12) is applied instead of Halon 1301.
Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12)
The extinguishing agent Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12) is based on preliminary engineering calculations.
Systems can include developments based on calculations.
We designing and mounting the clean agent extinguishing system in correspondence with standard NFPA, ISO and EN depending to request.
Definition
AKRONEX’s clean agent extinguishing system is the dominant type of fire protection for valuable materials and properties, located in confined spaces. When Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12) discharges in closed areas it extinguishes fire of A, B and C classes. The system can start up manually as running automatically by relative control and detection devices.

Cylinders
Gaseous fire suppression cylinders is produced according to TPED(transportable pressure equipment directive) technical specification TUV EN 13322-1. Cylinders capacity ranges lays 7-14-27-40-60-106-147-180-240L various capacity.Working pressure ranges are 25-34,5 and 42 bar under 21,1 ºC (70 ºF). Working temperatures are between -28ºC ( -20ºF) and 54,4ºC ( 130ºF).
Valves
Gas extinguishing release valves is made of brass or stainless steel and durable 25,34.5 and 42 bar pressure. The valve is actuated electrically by a solenoid and is monitored by a pressure control switch.
Nozzles
The gaseous extinguishing spray nozzles are manufactured from brass or stainless steel according to the hydraulic calculation of the system being designed. The ORIFICE diameters are designed at intervals determined by the hydraulic calculator. NOZZLES have VDS and LPCB approvals.
